About Laser Support Services
Currently featuring in this month's Electro Optics magazine, (http://www.electrooptics.com Profile) yodelling from the mountains comes rather hard to us, but we have worked hard to build up and maintain a small business and survived on instinct and flexibility within the developing world of smaller and ever-more technically ambitious lasers. Many a recession has passed us by as we adapt and serve the market with what they want - cost-effective solutions to advance their projects and research. That has not changed in over 20 years.
Lasers are now just over 50 years old, and since 1990, Laser Support Services has been meeting the needs of laser users worldwide. Our "key man" is Grahame Rogers who has ensured that we can provide you with a large range of lasers, from UV, through visible, and out to infrared, CW and pulsed, and extended our product range to include optical tables, mounts and positioners, safety equipment, optics and much more. We supply products from a range of companies but we can also access many others to suit your individual need and application. We can also provide you with precision engineering, custom built to your specifications.
Now drawing on Grahame's 30 years of individual experience working with lasers, we offer a third party repair service for most makes of ion laser, and some Nd:YAG lasers. Maintenance contracts are available; these can be a cost effective way to prolong the life of equipment. We are also now able to repair certain types of diode pumped solid state lasers.
Our service department is now offering an excellent repair programme for semiconductor manufacturing lasers. Check out the semiconductor page for more information on this truly cost effective way to replace defective semiconductor laser equipment.
We are proud of our achievements and intend to serve this small but exciting market with new products - in 2013 we launch a competitive range of customised laser safety panels, a flexible fit for all laboratories, and continue to help other small businesses like IPL clinics to keep the costs of essential safety eyewear down where they should be - at manufacturers prices. Like the constant and trusted values of the small community we live in, we extend this out to our working practices and hope this is reflected in our service and business ethics.
