Optical scanners from Electro-optical Products Corp. are available from sub-miniature to wide angle and can be used in a wide variety of applications.

 

Reliable, low maintenance and low cost, they feature fixed frequency scanning and various mirror sizes to suit portable, industrial, and research instruments,and are designed to withstand shock and vibration. Glass mirrors are as standard, with optional coatings available.

Miniature Scanners

 

EOPC-SC-2

The SC-2 type mini sub-miniature fixed frequency resonant optical scanners is the new smallest size mechanical scanner available. It is an electromagnetically driven moving mirror device, which deflects a light beam with a continuous sinusoidal motion. The mirror assembly is attached at the center of a taut band spring. The scanning frequency range of the SC-2 type scanner is from 100Hz to 1000Hz, fixed at any one value within the range. The scan angle is inversely proportional to the frequency, and is a function of the mirror size. The standard operating temperature is 0°C to +55°C. Other temperature range and vacuum operation are available upon request.

The SC-21 and SC-25 type scanners are ideal for applications involving large optical beams, simultaneous imaging of multiple beams, or similar large amplitude applications. The scanners operate at one fixed frequency. Glass mirrors are standard, and metal mirrors, gratings, and lens (UV-IR-VIS) are available on special order.

The scanners require only minimal power. Since they are components that have no wearing parts, they provide excellent repeatability and long life. The scanners are used in varying applications including:
